Vlogger Louise Pentland, also known as Sprinkle of Glitter, has teamed up with PETA to spread the message that 'a cat is for life, not just for Christmas', posing in an advert alongside her cat Zula.

Pentland explained 'Although most people who give animals as gifts have good intentions, it is unfair to give an animal to anyone unless you are absolutely certain that the person wants that particular animal and is able to give a lifetime of proper care and love. If in doubt, a plush toy makes a much better gift!'.
